Genderless vs. Multi-Gender

By creating designs that follow a genderless approach, we break gender expectations, thread by thread. Nevertheless reinterpreting stereotypical gender norms and exaggerating the social standars regarding conventional gender roles we strive to show the possibility of genderfluidity and the urge to try on multiple gender.

Everyday Art

We see fashion as an encounter between art and the everyday. With this approach Stickann creates fashion for the brave. The ones that express themselves through their clothing and want to make a statement with their style.

Dualism

We are full of opposing desires - especially as queer individuals. We are looking for comfort and security within a group of like-minded people on the one hand, and on the other hand we strive for individuality and uniqueness to stand out from a collective. Stickann finds inspiration in the dualistic being of mankind, which is presented in the contrast of naturalness and artificiality. We are proud to create a safe space that leaves room for self expression.

Das Label STICKANN wurde Anfang 2021 gegründet. Mit unserer Mode setzen wir ein Zeichen für die Inklusion aller Körper und Geschlechter. Wohingegen sich Unisex Mode zumeist nur auf das binäre Geschlecht beschränkt sorgt STICKANN für die Sichtbarkeit des „IN-BETWEEN“.

Neben dem Fokus auf einer ausgefeilten Schnittgestaltung, liegt unser Augenmerk insbesondere auf der nachhaltigen Ausrichtung jeglicher Geschäftsprozesse. Ressourcen werden möglichst aus Deutschland bezogen, die Produktion unserer Artikel findet ebenfalls inländisch statt und eine hohe Transparenz in Herstellung und Materialität sorgen für eine nachhaltige Produktionskette. Neben unseren Kernkompetenzen im gesellschaftlichen Kontext sowie der Nachhaltigkeit unseres Labels sorgen wir mit unseren künstlerischen Fähigkeiten dafür, Mode als Schnittstelle zwischen Kunst und dem Alltäglichen zu vermitteln um einen bewussten und respektvollen Umgang mit Bekleidung zu schaffen

Focussing on pattern making which works against a binary gender mindset, Stickann provides pieces, that include all types of genders and bodies. Whereas unisex fashion mostly focusses on the typical "female" or the typical "manly" body, we want to include those individuals that don't consider themselves as one of the two binary genders.

In addition to that, Stickann focusses on the use of nature based fabrics and resources such as linen and silk.

Through presentations in an artistic context, we want to emphasize the meaning of fashion as the interface go art and everyday life to cause a more conscious and respectful contact at the customers side
